Operation precautions: closed operation, local exhaust. Operators must receive special training and strictly abide by the operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear hooded electric air supply filter type dust respirators, polyethylene gas suits and rubber gloves.
Keep away from kindling and heat sources. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Avoid dust generation. Avoid contact with reducing agent and active metal powder. Handle with care to prevent package and container damage. Vibration, impact and friction are prohibited.
Equip with corresponding varieties and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. Emptied containers may leave harmful substances.
Storage precautions: store in a cool, dry and well ventilated warehouse. Keep away from kindling and heat sources. The package must be sealed to prevent moisture. It should be stored separately from reducing agents, active metal powders, etc., and should not be mixed. The storage area should be equipped with appropriate materials to contain leakage.
The potassium hydroxide manufacturer recommends emergency treatment: isolate the leakage pollution area and restrict access. It is recommended that emergency treatment personnel wear dust masks (full masks) and gas suits. Do not touch the leakage directly. Do not let the leakage come into contact with reductants, organics, combustibles or metal powders.
Small leakage: mix sand, dry lime or soda ash. Collect in dry, clean and covered containers. It can also be washed with a large amount of water, which is diluted and then put into the wastewater system. Large amount of leakage: collect, recycle or transport to the waste treatment site for disposal.
